This small but full-of-potential apartment was designed to feel cosy, inviting, and just a little bit whimsical — without going overboard. The couple wanted a warm, personal style, but also needed to keep things fairly neutral in case they chose to sell the property in the somewhat near future. Our goal was to strike that perfect balance: a characterful home with broad appeal.

We worked across the kitchen, bathroom, living/dining room, and main bedroom, all on a tight budget. The bathroom and kitchen were top priorities, especially as plumbing issues required the entire apartment to be re-piped.

To stay within budget and maintain character, many pieces were second-hand or upcycled — including a beautiful vintage dresser in the bedroom. These elements added charm and individuality to the home, while contrasting moody tones with fresh natural hues created a soft, layered atmosphere. The result is a warm and welcoming space with heart — perfect for now, with flexibility for the future.
